Was so glad to see some new faces at our get together. Hope more will come as word gets around. Julie, enjoyed seeing you and was very glad you made it. To all who attened our little get-together, thanks for the effort to carve the time to keep our group on-going. For those who sat on my end of the table (Pat, Jeff, Karon, June and Sammy) thanks for the wonderful conversations. And David I didn't want to sit by you anyway. Wes your efforts are appriciated on the setup. Rule is you have to sit by someone else next time. Yes if I have to I will sit by McCann...... See you next time....

We had a fantastic get-together last night for dinner. We had 18 classmates plus 7 guests attend the get-together this time. We had a few faces we have not seen in quite some time: Karen George, Terri Dougherty and Molly Middleton.
We are planning another get-together on August 13, 2011, Alvis Didway is going to be in town from North Carolina so guess what, another excuse to get-together for dinner. Alvis does not get in town until late Saturday so it willbe a late dinner. More details soon.

Ran into one of our class mates. Leland Betsill. While my Dad was in the hospital at Baylor in Grapevine. He gave my dad breathing treatments during his stay. Thanks Leland for your personal touch!

Update on Julie Hyde: I have been getting updates from Julie's daughter each day. As of this afternoon, Julie is still not able to wake up on her own and I believe is still on a breathing tube. The doctors still do not know what caused the bleeding and swelling in the back of her head. Her condition is stable, but until Julie can communicate, they will not know if the bleeding and severe swelling caused any permanant damage. Her daughters are being strong but are asking for prayers for their mother.

From what I hear Julie had bleeding in her brain which caused swelling and she became confused and disoriented. The swelling has started to decrease, but she is still on a respirator and not coherent. Julie's family has asked that we do no call the hospital and no visitors at the moment. They will try to keep us informed and ask for prayers and we are welcome to send an email on the hospital site.

I just heard this morning that our classmate Julie Hyde was rushed to the hospital yesterday. She is in very serious condition at this time. We do not know what happened, but the doctors say the next three days are very critical, they also said the road to recovery will be a veryslow endevor.
I will try to post updates here on this website and you should also be able to find updates on Facebook.

One of our classmates has passed away:
Robert Randolph "Bobby" Jackson, 55, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at his home. Memorial service: private. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be sent to Heartsong Fellowship Church, Box 163885, Fort Worth, Texas 76161. Bobby was born Aug. 5, 1955, to the late Patsy Ruth and Willis Randolph Jackson. He graduated from Trinity High School and attended Austin College. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and his bold approach to life. Survivors: Daughter, Natalia Jackson; sister, Jaynie Jackson Cumming; and former wife, Floy Jackson.

Thank you, Committee, for throwing such a great reunion!! I applaude you for ALL your hard work and effort for getting us together. I just wish that more of '74 could have come to the reunion as well. It was good to see everyone that did attend. It would be nice if we could do this more often. WELL DONE!! Thanks, again!!

Just wanted to thank everyone for coming out. It was fun to see who we remembered, without looking at name tags,it gets harder as we get older huh! think we all cheated and had to look at some point.
Lots of neighborhood,Jr High, and Elementary stories. WHAT FUN.
Wes THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH for all you did and do to keep us all in touch. You did a GREAT job putting this all together. Look forward to the next one.

Ok classmates, we are less than three weeks away from our 35 year reunion. As we get older it means a lot more to catch up with our friends of the past. Most of our event is planned out, but several parts depends on how many of our classmates and guests plan on attending.
